How did your body’s weight and shape got the way it is?
Mind is a vibration. Your body is the manifestation of that vibration. Therefore, the level of vibration in which your mind is dictates the way your body looks.
What did influence the vibration of your mind?
From the beginning your marvelous mind has been influenced in many ways. Firstly, when coming on earth there was an inheritance coming genetically from both of your parents. Then on, the environment where you lived has continuously conditioned the vibratory rate of your mind, and consecutively of your body.
When talking about mind, I refer to both parts of the mind: the conscious and subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the part where all our intellectual factors are: reason, memory, intuition, imagination, perspective and will. The subconscious mind is the emotional part of our personality. It is the one that controls every single action we make.
Thoughts that were continuously impregnated into our conscious mind reached the subconscious mind and created habits, including our eating habits. If our actions influence our results then we can draw a very powerful conclusion: the thoughts we had and our emotions so far dictated actions that have created the underweight or overweight shape of our body. There are genetic features of our body shape which we have been given in this life but that is not something in our concern now. Certainly being overweight and underweight was not a naturally given shape.
There are good books in the literature that perform a lot of work to help in the cleaning of the emotional storage of our subconscious mind. That surely can be of any help for you. I am not an expert in that filed and the best I can do is to suggest a few titles I have gone through: “The only diet there is”, “Love yourself heal your body”, “You can heal yourself”
In a short paragraph I attempt to summaries their main ideas: A person mostly dominated by emotions of self-hate, shame, resentment guilt, fears has a body which is either overweight or underweight. On the other hand, someone having mainly self-love, self-respect and high self-esteem projects a beautiful, naturally harmonious body’s shape and weight.
Undertaking the journey which is prepared for you in the books I have just mentioned can be a wonderful experience. It can reveal and release hidden emotional blockages that you might keep in other areas of your life, not only in dieting. I would suggest you take the time to go through them because that will increase your level of awareness. A high awareness makes greater the possibility of change!
The good news
All possible causes of you having the body the way it is now can be trace down to one single primary cause. The one single cause of success or failure in dieting: your self-image.Your self-image is the way you see yourself and think about yourself. It is often called your "inner mirror." You look into this mirror in every situation to see how you should perform on the outside. You always behave on the outside in a manner consistent with the picture you have of yourself on the inside.
For example, if in your subconscious mind you have an image of yourself as being overweight or underweight that is how you will look. No mater how much effort, will power or diet program you follow. You will never be able to outperform the image you have of yourself. The self image sets the boundaries of what you can achieve, not only in dieting but in life in general.
I came across with this concept from "The Winner’s Image" by Bob Proctor and from the marvelous classic book "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz.
